Raven "Red” Gomez is a beautiful woman who can’t be trusted. Red lives the glamorous life by scheming as many men as she can. Her latest conquest is a hustler named Q. Red plans to just take Q for all of the money that she can get out of him and walk away. But Red is starting to have real feelings for him and that was not a part of her plan. Q knew Red was a bit scandalous when he met her but he took a gamble on her anyway. Just when he starts to fall in love with her, Q discovers through the street grapevine just how dirty Red is and that he may be a pawn in her game. Unbeknownst to Red, her ex Bacon is coming home from prison earlier than expected. What Red doesn’t know is that Bacon is hipped to all of her games she played with him. Bacon wants nothing but revenge and he’s going to make sure Red gets what’s coming to her. Dirty Red
is a raw and gritty novel by Vickie Stringer. Stringer created a fast
paced, engaging storyline. Red truly put the "D” dirty. Some of the
actions of Red were downright despicable and disgusting. From the various
dangerous, cold-hearted schemes she ran on men, to the foul way she
treated her friends, Red was a character that I loved to hate. There was
also an interesting cliffhanger that could turn into a sequel. Dirty
Red is entertaining and scandalous. Vickie Stringer is still at the
top of her game. |

Andre "Thug-A-Licious” Williams struggled to survive on the mean streets of Harlem. He makes it out of the hood thanks to his fierce basketball and mic skills. Thug explodes on the rap scene with chart-topping hits and becomes one of the most sought after rookies in the NBA. But everything isn’t all peaches and cream for Thug. The shady past that he ran away from could come back to haunt him. Thug’s weakness for women leaves him with a list of baby mamas and children to provide for. Out of all the women he’s had in his bed, Thug’s heart belongs to one woman: Carmeisha "Lil Muddah” Vernoy. Carmeisha is a successful beauty salon owner who has been by Thug’s side from the beginning. But Thug’s many flings with other women may take its toll on Carmeisha. She also has to deal with a tragic and devastating secret from her past that not even Thug knows about. Thug’s older cousin Pimp Williams is his former partner-in-crime and a cold-blooded killer. Pimp will stop at nothing to get what he wants even if it means betraying his own family and terrorizing Carmeisha. Thug-A-Licious is an exhilarating page-turner by Noire. The excellent storyline and character development is what makes this novel soar. I really got a good feel for the characters. Although Thug was extremely loose with women, I still felt sympathy for him and understood the things that he did. Readers will also understand the dedication and love that Carmeisha had for Thug and especially how she dealt with the baby mama drama. The sex scenes were so hot that you’ll see why Thug had so many women at his disposal. Fans of Noire’s previous novels will be pleasantly surprised when characters from G-Spot and Candy Licker make brief appearances in this story. Strong credible characters, wonderful storyline delivery, and salivating sex scenes makes this Noire’s best novel. Thug-A-Licious is simply urban erotica at its finest. |

But each of them has a secret. Madison’s no-strings attached sex life comes to a halt when her dad shows up with a bombshell that will turn her world upside down. Suburban housewife Blair suspects that her husband is cheating on her. Lauren is burning herself out pleasing everyone except her husband. LaShawn is an engaged kindergarten teacher who’s planning her dream wedding and fantasizing about a student’s father. The women decide a vacation is in order and go on a two-week Caribbean cruise. With a ship full of sexy eligible men, they decide to have some naughty fun out on the high seas. But will that fun come with a price? Cruising
is a refreshing and breezy read by Desiree Day. Day does a wonderful job
of drawing the reader into the story. This author’s writing is so
descriptive that I felt like I was actually on the Caribbean cruise. I
liked that each of the four friends came from different lifestyles and
backgrounds. This story is not just about a cruise but how people deal
with whatever life throws at them, no matter how devastating it is. A
novel about a seductive Caribbean cruise wouldn’t be complete without a
fair share of juicy sex scenes and there is plenty of it for all to enjoy.
Cruising is light, tantalizing, and delightful. |

Tony Jackson is an ungrateful idiot. He cares about no one but himself and will do any and everything just to please himself. From sleeping with other women in his long-time girlfriend’s Quanisha’s bed, to stealing from innocent people, Tony has no shame in his game. Tony thinks he’s getting away with murder until he gets hit with a dose of instant karma. The question is will Tony ever get the message? Quanisha is a hard working woman who is trying to make something out of herself. Her patience with Tony is wearing thin as a new prospect steps into the picture. Will Quanisha finally show Tony the door? Scoop is Tony’s womanizing best friend. Scoop’s life makes a turn for the worst when faced with a deadly situation. Karma’s
A Bitch is a fascinating read by J. Gail. Gail expertly illustrates
the old adage of what goes around comes around. Although the main theme of
this story is Tony’s behavior, there are some other issues that were
included such as HIV, self-actualization, and domestic violence that I
thought were good noteworthy topics. There were also some moments in this
novel where I found myself laughing out loud. Karma’s A Bitch is a
real-life reality check for any reader. |

Four men tackle the trials and tribulations of friendships that date back to childhood. Alex Blue is a successful photographer that’s struggling with depression and an unhealthy obsession with his woman Avida. Lorenzo Dali is an up and coming jazz artist who packs the jazz clubs and getting the attention of several women. Anthony Games is a cop and Cyprus Kane is a professional thief and its only a matter of time before they bump heads. Things get complicated for the four friends when they are forced into a volatile situation that includes the Italian mafia, the FBI and murder. Who will make it in the end? The Brotherhood of Man is a riveting novel by Kimani Kinyua. Kinyua brought an interesting storyline and characters. I really liked the camaraderie and level of friendship between the men in this novel that’s rarely seen in today’s African-American fiction. Although they all took different paths in life, they still made time to go out on Friday nights. There is a twist to this story that is so shocking that it left me absolutely speechless. The Brotherhood of Man is full of fast-paced drama that will keep readers guessing until the end. This is certainly a great start to Kimani Kinyua’s career. Tina Stevens is a beautiful woman with an insatiable appetite for sex. She developed this appetite early on during high school and will go through as many men as necessary to satisfy her needs. But her heart still only belongs to Darren. Darren is the only man that Tina wants to spend her life with but she can’t stop wanting and being with other men. Tina is forced to face her sexual addiction when she is unwillingly forced into a deadly situation. Will she come out unscathed? Sexual Exploits of a Nympho
is a an enthralling novel by Richard Jeanty. Jeanty
expertly tells this story from a woman’s point of view. When reading this
novel, I felt like Tina was sitting right down next to me telling her
story. The sex scenes were hot and exciting. I liked how this author dealt
with the serious issue of sexual addiction and the consequences of it. I
also loved how there was a suspenseful, deadly twist thrown into this
novel. Sexual Exploits of a Nympho is sexy and thought provoking.
Richard Jeanty is certainly on his way to making a huge impact in this
industry. |
