Urban Reviews:
Can you please tell us about
Nothing but Drama?
Antony Moussignac: Nothing but Drama
is about three best friends who rely on each other when drama
mingles with love. Monica just turned thirty and is ready for
a committed relationship, but can’t seem to get over her ex.
When a sexy twenty-two year old grabs her attention, she’s
drawn to him but can she look pass his age to realize he’s the
real deal or continue to pine over her ex? Shauna is getting
married in a couple of months. Her life is suddenly turned
upside down when a man from her past resurfaces and stirs up
old feelings she thought she had left behind. Will she say "I
do" or run back to the arms of someone familiar? Tina is a
single mother whose heart is filled with anger and resentment
towards her son’s father, who abandoned her during her
pregnancy. Now that he’s back in her son’s life, will she set
aside the past and give her son the family he deserves or let
her anger get the best of her?
This book has twists, turns, and an ending that will keep you
wanting more. Once you enter their world of drama, you won’t
want to put it down.
Urban Reviews: Where did the
ideas for the storyline come from?
Antony Moussignac:
The storyline derived from various
conversations with family members, friends, co-workers, etc.
The drama each one experienced in their relationships had my
mind flowing with ideas. Once I had my characters, I was ready
to get the ball rolling.
Urban Reviews: What has been
the most satisfying thing about the release of your novel?
Antony Moussignac:
The most satisfying thing was finally getting
my book out there. When I had my first book sale, it was the
best feeling in the world.
Urban Reviews: If you had
to do it all over again, what things would you have done
differently in preparing the release of your novel?
Antony Moussignac:
Well, I would definitely do a more thorough
research on publishing companies and editing services. I would
also spend more time promoting prior to the debut.
Urban Reviews: What are your
goals as a writer?
Antony Moussignac:
My main goal is to set aside more time for my
writing. With work, school and parenting, finding time to
write has been tough. This market is very competitive but
dedication and determination will always play a key role.
Urban Reviews: What are
you doing to set your book apart from the hundreds of other
new African-American Fiction releases on the market?
Antony Moussignac:
This has been a very hard process. I’m still
learning the do’s and don’ts of marking so what I mainly try
to do is be more creative when it comes to promoting my book.
Urban Reviews: What
upcoming project(s) are you working on and when can we expect
to see it on shelves?
Antony Moussignac:
I just completed my second novel titled The
Choices We Make for young adult readers. It should be
published within a couple of months. I’ve already started
writing the sequel to Nothing but Drama titled
Nothing but Drama: The Drama Continues. I’m hoping to have
it published by the end of the year. My readers tell me
Nothing but Drama would be a great movie, so who knows
what may happen in the near future. (LOL)
Urban Reviews: Do you
have any favorite authors or books?
Antony Moussignac:
I like all types of books. I’ll read anything
that keeps my attention.
Urban Reviews: What
things do you enjoy doing outside of writing and promoting
your work?
Antony Moussignac:
I enjoy traveling and spending time with
family.
Urban Reviews: Is there
anything else you would like to share about yourself or your
book?
Antony Moussignac:
Nothing but Drama is unique because it
indulges "real life" situations so that the reader in some way
can relate to the characters. Writing is my passion. As long
as my readers keep reading, I will keep on entertaining.
