Urban Reviews: Tell our
readers about Spend My Life With You.
Christie Joh'nell: Well, Spend My Life
With You is about 3 good friends whose lives are so
different. Janet a wife and mother, Sharon a single mother and
Melody, a female player not ready to settle down. This story
is full of twist and turns and the characters are so
relatable, you will begin to compare them to someone you may
know or just maybe yourself.
Urban Reviews: What inspired
you to want to write this particular story?
Christie Joh'nell: Honestly, Christmas
afternoon (5 years ago) I picked up a pen and paper and said
to myself, let me write a story.
Urban Reviews: What are your
ultimate goals as an author?
Christie Joh'nell: To become a
best-selling author and to continue to share my stories. Maybe
even have my novel make it to the big screen.
Urban Reviews: What has been
the most rewarding part about being a published author?
Christie Joh'nell: I'm still gushing in
the moment, but what's more rewarding is when I get feedback
from my readers; just hearing the excitement in their voice is
so surreal to me. I sit back and say wow, I'm an author and
someone actually like my work.
Urban Reviews: Did you
always want to write romantic suspense or did it evolve from
something else initially?
Christie Joh'nell: No, I had no desire to
become a writer. I was actually pursuing modeling, but I guess
writing chose me.
Urban Reviews: What is your
writing process like? Is there a certain time of day,
location, or mood that you need to have in order to write?
Christie Joh'nell: I don't really have
one. Sometimes things come to me and I won't write anything
down for days or even weeks. I have to play around with the
idea in my head a bit.
Urban Reviews: What can
we look forward to from you in the future?
Christie Joh'nell: Well I do have a
sequel coming soon. I also have a few more waiting in the
wings. So God willing, I hope to be around for awhile.
Urban Reviews: Do you
have any favorite authors or books?
Christie Joh'nell: I can't say that I
have any favorites. I just like a good read.
Urban Reviews: If there
was one thing about your literary journey that you could go
back and change, what would you want it to be?
Christie Joh'nell: Although everything is
not as I wished it to be, I don't think I would change
anything. Everything we do in life is a learning experience.
Trust me I've learned what I won't do ever again. I just want
to do whatever is takes to make my literary journey a success.
Urban Reviews: Is there
anything else you would like to share about yourself or your
novel?
Christie Joh'nell: I just want to say
thanks to my readers and forums such as this to help us spread
the word. |
