Urban Reviews: Can you tell us what your latest book Ultimate
Freak-fest Fantasy is all about?
Tracee A. Hanna: Ultimate
Freak-fest Fantasy is an explicitly
written erotic novella exploring the love, lust, and wildly
experimental sex life of a man and woman who have been more than
best friends for years. Samson and Bella fill their days and
nights satisfying shared passionate desires during a hedonistic
vacation in Jamaica. Alas this cherished friendship is
put to the test when Samson wants more. It is more than great sex
there are some personal issues that the couple need to over come.
You will enjoy the roller coaster ride that Bella and Samson take
you on. Ultimate
Freak-fest Fantasy is a sinfully capricious
novella for the enjoyment of the uninhibited reader of explicitly
written erotica.
Urban Reviews: Where did you come up with this storyline?
Tracee A. Hanna: My best friend was off at war and asked me to write him something
sexy. He asked me, "What is your ultimate freak-fest fantasy?"
I sent him Ultimate
Freak-fest Fantasy.
Urban Reviews: You also had another book out in 2003 called A Little Bit of
Sinning. Can you tell us what that is about?
Tracee A. Hanna: A Little Bit of Sinning is a story about the changes that everyday
people have gone through in a relationship. The main character, Tina
is married to Mitchell. The twelve year marriage produced two
daughters. Tina, was raised by her Southern grandfather, therefore
she does not have the majority of the traditional idiosyncrasies of
most women. She is a North side St. Louis girl, tough, direct, and
strong. The story starts off at the breaking point of one
relationship then quickly moves to the Tina's unorthodox and
deceptively cold reaction to the break up. Tina meets two men that
intrigued and enticed her, only five days after her husband asked
her for a divorce. She loves men, so much so, that the break up of
her marriage gave her the perfect excuse to date and experience the
pleasures of new men. She had been faithfully married since she was
seventeen years old therefore for the first time in her life she is
a single adult. She jumps into dating full force, no holds barred.
She is not looking for love, just a lover. A Little Bit of Sinning
will be for sale again this year!!!
Urban Reviews: Your
stories were featured in two anthologies by Zane (Honey Flava and Caramel Flava). How was that
experience for you and would you be willing to do more with Zane in the
future if given the opportunity?
Tracee A. Hanna: I was so very excited to be included in Zane's anthologies.
There's a point where you think you are good enough. Then there's a
point where your thoughts are validated. Zane validated not
only my thoughts but my dreams. Hell yeah I would do something
else with her again.
Urban Reviews: What do you hope to accomplish in the book world?
Tracee A. Hanna: I want to combine passion with sexuality. Most people combine
sex with love and although I have loved in my lifetime, I prefer the
passion of a lover. With the words that I write, I want everyone,
men and women, to feel my passion. Love can be lost and
found; however, passion is something that should be shared!
Urban Reviews: Do you have any upcoming projects that you're working on?
Tracee A. Hanna: I'm working on Footprints On The Headboard, the sequel to Ultimate
Freak-fest Fantasy.
Urban Reviews: What author or book inspired you to want to become a writer in
the first place? Tracee A. Hanna: It wasn't an author at all; actually I started writing about things
that I couldn't talk about...things that I missed. I was hit
by a drunk driver and couldn't walk on my own (or do anything else
entertaining) for a long time. I needed to have therapy without
actually having to speak. God helped me when I was in need and when
you read my works, you really can tell.
Urban Reviews: What things have you been doing to promote yourself and your
works?
Tracee A. Hanna: I'm currently on tour. I am going to all of the book fairs I
can. I began with The Bronner Brothers Hair Show, Authors
Pavilion in Atlanta, GA, continued on with Wag-fest in Seattle, WA,
and I shall go on from there. I believe that you have to go
out and meet your fans as well as create an audience for your work to
be successful.
Urban Reviews: What has been your biggest obstacle in regards to the book
business?
Tracee A. Hanna: I'm physically disabled; I was hit by a drunk driver.
Therefore my
mobility is an issue. I live with chronic pain everyday of my
life. However most book signings only last a few hours a month, so I
can handle it. I do as much as I can do until I just can't do
anymore. The second thing to watch out for is editors. I
pulled A Little Bit of Sinning off the shelves because I had
such a TERRIBLE editor. I was embarrassed. The story was
great according to the reviews; however, the editing was sub par.
ALWAYS re-read your work!
Urban Reviews: Is there anything else you would like to share with us about you
or your books?
Tracee A. Hanna: My books are written for the pleasure of passion! No matter
what else in life you have to go through, always make time for
passion. Many things can be overcome with just a little bit of
passion no matter what you passions are...sex is just one of the
many pleasures that can be shared.
